Doing Business With Japan – Mr. Tomio Isogai
“DOING BUSINESS WITH JAPAN”
India’s potential as a market for Japanese companies is now well understood by the business community. Japanese companies are particularly interested in the rising middle class of India. Currently attention is given to characteristics of Japanese investment in India, including M&A, SMEs and diversification of investment regions.
Japanese Government accords Indian certification agencies an equal status as that of Japanese agencies. This can particularly boost exports of organic products including Agro-products to Japan.
India and Japan have signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) which came into force from August 2011. This is expected to provide a boost to trade and investment relations between the two countries.
